The Syracuse Standard, March 25, 1885.
In the Church of Christ. A musical and literary entertainment was given in the Church of Christ last evening for the benefit of the Ladies' Aid society of Syracuse. A large number were present. The programme consisted of literary selections by Wesley Lyman, the boy orator, and musical selections by the Mozart club, assisted by Charles Becker, violin ; C.W. Ball, flute; Mrs. C.E. Petty, contralto; Miss Edna Petty, soprano, and Mrs.J.E. Mosher, pianist. The selections, in costume, of Wesley Lyman and the soprano solo, "Cuckoo Song," by Miss Edna Petty, received great applause. |

Edna May, Starred on London Stage. Miss Edna May, American actress who won fame in "The Belle of New York", dies in Lausanne, Switzerland, at the age of 69, it was learned here tonight. Miss May, who was in private life Mrs. Oscar Lewisohn, died of a heart attack after an attack of double pneumonia. |
